Dar Al-Hifz – Quran Memorisation Academy, Cairo

In a modest building near Al-Azhar in Cairo, Dar Al-Hifz has been producing huffadh (memorisers of the Quran) for 18 years. Our alumni are scattered across the world — leading taraweeh prayers in mosques from Manchester to Melbourne, teaching hifz to the next generation, carrying the words of Allah in their hearts.

This year, we have 35 students enrolled in our 3-year hifz programme. Of these, 15 are from families who can afford the tuition fees. Twenty students — 20 lights — are at risk of having to leave because their families cannot pay.

Your scholarship covers:

• Full tuition for one year: $850
• Accommodation and meals: $1,800
• Books, stationery, and uniform: $150
• A small stipend for the student's family (so parents can afford for them to study full-time): $700

Total per student per year: $3,500. Total for all 20 students for the full 3-year programme: $35,000.

We are raising $35,000 to ensure no student has to leave Dar Al-Hifz due to inability to pay. Every dollar raised funds a student directly — not administration, not salaries, not infrastructure.
