A compact,not a contract.

These are the terms of the relationship between Amanah Trust and The Community. We have written them in plain language on purpose — and paired each clause with the promise we are making you.

On the use of this platform.

We promise

We will maintain a platform that is accessible, honest, and free of dark patterns. We will never manipulate you into donating more than you intend.

You agree

You are at least 18 years old and will provide accurate information when creating an account or campaign.

Amanah Trust provides a crowdfunding platform for individuals and organisations to raise funds for lawful causes. Misuse — including fraudulent campaigns, false identities, or activity that violates our community standards — will result in account termination and, where required, referral to relevant authorities.

On campaign integrity.

We promise

We will review every campaign before it goes live. We will communicate clearly if a campaign is paused or rejected, and we will give creators a fair opportunity to respond.

You agree

Your campaign will be truthful, your stated cause legitimate, and your use of funds aligned with what donors were told.

All campaigns must comply with applicable laws and our community guidelines. We reserve the right to pause, remove, or request changes to any campaign that misrepresents its purpose, violates our policies, or poses a risk to donors.

On donations and fees.

We promise

We will never take a percentage of donations as a platform fee. If processing fees apply, we will make them visible before you confirm your donation.

You agree

You will verify campaign details before donating. Donations are final unless the campaign is found to be fraudulent — in which case we will work to make it right.

Donations are processed through our secure payment partners. A payment processing fee (charged by Stripe, not Amanah Trust) may apply. Platform fees are zero. Donors may optionally leave a tip to support Amanah Trust's operations — this is never assumed or pre-filled.

On payouts to creators.

We promise

We will release funds promptly to verified creators. We will be transparent about any hold on funds and explain our reasoning.

You agree

You will connect a verified bank account before requesting a payout, and you will use funds in a manner consistent with your campaign's stated purpose.

Payouts are processed to verified bank accounts after identity verification is complete. We may hold funds temporarily if we detect unusual activity, receive a dispute, or are investigating a potential policy violation. We will notify you of any hold and its expected duration.

On your privacy.

We promise

We will not sell your data. We will not share your personal information with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the platform. Anonymous donations remain anonymous — always.

You agree

You understand that campaign information, including non-anonymous donations, may be visible to other users as described in our Privacy Policy.

Personal information is collected and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. If you donate anonymously, your name will not be shared with campaign creators or displayed publicly.

On our respective responsibilities.

We promise

We will act in good faith at all times. If we make a mistake, we will acknowledge it and work to correct it.

You agree

You understand that Amanah Trust is a platform — we facilitate fundraising but cannot guarantee campaign outcomes. Responsibility for fund use rests with campaign creators.

Amanah Trust acts as a facilitator and is not liable for the success or failure of individual campaigns, or for how creators use raised funds. We do our best to vet campaigns and create accountability structures, but we cannot guarantee every outcome. Our maximum liability in any dispute is limited to fees paid by the relevant party in the 12 months preceding the claim.
