Ramadan Food Parcels for Yemen – Feed 1,000 Families

For most of us, Ramadan means long, filling suhoors, lavish iftars, taraweeh prayers, and the warm glow of community. For millions of Yemenis, Ramadan 2026 will mean another day of wondering how — and if — to break the fast.

After more than a decade of conflict and economic collapse, over 21 million Yemenis — two thirds of the population — do not have enough food. Children are malnourished. Mothers are skipping meals so their children can eat. In some areas, families are subsisting on bread and water.

Our target: 1,000 Ramadan food parcels at $72 each.

Each parcel is assembled and distributed by Al-Khair Yemen, our trusted ground partner. It contains:

• 10 kg rice
• 5 kg lentils / beans
• 3 litres cooking oil
• 2 kg flour
• 1 kg dates (for iftar)
• 1 kg sugar
• 500g powdered milk
• Tea and salt

This feeds a family of five for the entire month of Ramadan.

Donating $72 = one family fed for Ramadan. Donating $360 = five families. Donating $720 = ten families.

We know that the value of feeding a fasting person is immense. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest." (Tirmidhi)
